Steve served honorably in the US Navy from 1989-1999 as an Electronic Warfare Operator (EWO) aboard the P-3C Orion aircraft. He completed 3 overseas deployments and participated in Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and Operation Southern Watch. Since leaving active duty in 1999 he has worked as a government contractor supporting The US Navy, US Coast Guard, and US Army in multiple positions supporting worldwide ISR flight operations. He is a certified NRA Pistol Instructor, Certified NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, and NRA member. He is also a life member of the VFW and a member of the Colonial Beach, VA American Legion.
As President, he is responsible for ensuring the organization's activities are compliant and in furtherance of the mission.
Paige is the founder of Valor Ranch. She has worked for the past 34 plus years for the US Government at multiple agencies. She is currently a Senior IT Program Manager with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and hopes to retire within the next few years to be at the ranch full time. She is a Certified NRA Pistol Instructor, Certified NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, and NRA member. As Vice President of Operations, she is responsible for overseeing the events, programs, and day-to-day operations of Valor Ranch.
Paige brings her love of people, nature & animals and more than 41 years of experience working with horses.
June serves as Vice President on the Valor Ranch Executive Board. She retired as the Naval Surface Warfare Center Chief Technology Officer after 33 years of Navy Civilian Service. She currently serves on the Board of the Fredericksburg Regional Military Affairs Council and is an appointed member of the King George Economic Development Authority. It was her continued commitment to supporting our Nation’s active duty military and veterans, together with her love for horses, that initially brought June to Valor Ranch as a volunteer. As Vice President, she supports the Board President and provides leadership when the President is not available. She is a member of the Valor Ranch Grant writing team and leads or supports other efforts, as required.
Kathy serves as the Secretary on the Valor Ranch Executive Board. After 35 years of civilian service, she retired from the Department of Navy (DoN) and through Valor Ranch, found a new way to serve those who serve our country. Coming from a family with deep military roots – some are retired and others currently serving across different branches – she has always had a profound respect for the service and sacrifices of our armed forces. As Secretary, she maintains official records & documents, prepares board meeting minutes, maintains the Valor Ranch calendar, and is the liaison between Valor Ranch and the injured service members we serve during our hosting weekends.
Erin serves as the Treasurer on the Valor Ranch Executive Board. She has worked as a bookkeeper for Ingleside Vineyards since February 2016. Working with non-profits in the communities where she lives has been a passion for many years. She has served as a Girl Scout leader and registrar for the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital and a PTO officer and President while her children were in elementary and middle school. After her children moved on to high school, she began working with the non-profit community organization, Fork Union Village Project, whose goal was the revitalization of the town of Fork Union, spending two years as president. After moving to Colonial Beach in 2014, she joined the American Legion Auxiliary where she served as treasurer for two years. Later she and her husband joined Hogs and Heroes Foundation, a military and first responders support organization, where she served as treasurer for three years. During this time, she became acquainted with Valor Ranch and their mission to help active-duty military and veterans. Having three sons who served in the military, was a guiding force in the continued relationship and desire to fund raise for and volunteer with Valor Ranch. In her current position as Secretary with the River Rats chapter of Brotherhood on Wheels, she also serves as event chair for the annual motorcycle ride fundraiser for Valor Ranch.
Joe served honorably for twenty-two years in the United States Marine Corps and retired in 2014. He is a life member of the VFW. He participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a member of the Marine Corps first Police Transition Team and participated in Operation Enduring Freedom working for NATO Training Mission Afghanistan and Combined Security Transition Command - Afghanistan. He currently is an Executive Administrative Business Partner for HRCI. As the Board Technical Assistant, Military and Community Relations Coordinator he serves as the liaison with Military hospitals and assists with developing partnerships and collaborations with other organizations and stakeholders.
